Kathmandu. The Department of Water and Meteorology has said that it is normal to completely cloudy in Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, Gandaki and Wagmati provinces this morning. In the rest of the land, there is partial to general replacement. Light to moderate rains with thunder, lightning and gales are occurring at some places in Far West, Karnali, Lumbini, Gandaki provinces and some places in the rest of the provinces.
According to the department, it will be normal to completely cloudy in the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at some places in the hilly areas and few places in the remaining areas. There is a possibility of heavy rain in some places of Kosi, Wagmati and Gandaki provinces. According to the department, there is also a possibility of windstorm in some places of Terai in Kosi, Madhes and Wagmati provinces.
There is a possibility of medium rain in Kathmandu today. “Rain will start from noon in Kathmandu. Rain will fall in Kathmandu in the afternoon, evening and night as well,” said meteorologist Sanjiv Adhikari.
Tonight, the weather will be mostly clear in the hilly areas, partly cloudy in the rest of the areas. According to the department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places of Kosi province and few places in the rest of the province.
The weather official said that the rain was due to the impact of the low pressure system. According to him, there is a possibility of rain today and tomorrow. “The weather will not improve today and tomorrow,” he said.
